Lego Robotics Programmer

Entering Grades 1-6

Using LEGO® Power Functions and LEGO® WeDo 1.0 & 2.0 technology, participants will have an opportunity to explore the amazing world of LEGO® robotics and engineering. We will learn about gears, circuits, and computer programming as we design, build, and program a variety of different robotics and engineering projects. Over 50 different projects are available including motorized cars and walkers, remote-controlled tanks, and amusement park rides. Note: Participants do not take projects home.

A supervised lunch break from 12:00-12:30 pm is included if partaking back-to-back sessions (Lego Robotics & Mindstorms). lunch is not provided. Please bring a lunch if registered in back-to-back programs.

NEW SUMMER REGISTRATION POLICY: Registration closes one week prior to the program beginning. A late fee of $25 will be charged to anyone registering within one week of the start date of a program. No refunds/credits available to those who register within one week of start date.

ALL participants (youth & adults) must have a completed & signed Emergency Information Sheet on file in order to participate in Rec programs. Registration over the phone will not be permitted without an emergency sheet on file for the registrant. Online registration requires a Waiver Form be electronically signed, however an Emergency Sheet is still required for all participants regardless of how registration occurs.  Emergency Sheets are available online at the Rec website under “FORMS” or in the Rec office and can be mailed, dropped off, emailed or faxed to Rec.
