  • Archery - Arrows of Power
    Ages 10+ The way to letting go of stress and staying focused in a competition is to learn and apply skill sets through this Arrows of Power program, that are beyond the archery form. Each week we will briefly go over the power of food or mind set and apply one new idea from class to your day to day lining. Learn the basics of the National Training System through shooting for score and fun archery games while working on your mental muscle. What to bring to class? Great attitude and a notebook. Required homework: Practicing form 10 minutes a day, 5 days a week with a stretch band. No class 10/14.
  • Ballroom Dance - Beginner, Intermediate, & Advanced Classes
    Ballroom dancing has become extremely popular over the past few years. This program is designed to let the student progress easily from one level to the next while learning the most popular dances, step by step. It’s a good way to get some exercise, meet new friends, and have some fun. Just think how great you’ll look dancing at your next wedding or special event!
  • Family Archery - Beginner
    Have fun learning the ancient skill of archery, the inner balance of life, the fun of shooting an arrow and letting go of stress for an hour. Disconnect from the outside world while you feel your inner power and connect with the target. Participants are welcome to take this class more than once to work on the basics. All equipment is provided. No class 10/14.
  • Family Archery - Intermediate
    Take your archery to the next level, and learn how to let go of what is around you as you focus on the moment you’re in. The last arrow that left the string is gone and it’s time to focus on your next arrow. Skill is important but mindset can be carried out into anything in life. Bring your skills to the next level and improve your mindset. No class 10/14.

    Join us for an outdoor evening yoga class featuring friendly baby goats from Chipin Farm!
  • Pickleball - All Programs
    Available Programs: - Outdoor Drop-In - Indoor Leagues - 1 Night Intro to Pickleball Workshops
  • Pickleball Clinics
    The newest sport to hit the Merrimack Valley, pickleball combines elements of badminton, tennis, and table tennis! At this workshop, players will be taught the rules of the sport as well as some common skills and techniques needed to play the game. All equipment is provided.
  • Pickleball Leagues
    Played on a smaller court, players will have the chance to build agility and hand eye coordination while still getting a good workout. Each week, teams will be formed from those who are in attendance and games will be played. Please bring your own paddle.
  • Gentle Yoga
    Yoga promotes flexibility, strength, and relaxation through a series of gentle stretching postures and deep breathing exercises. Class ends with a guided meditation and is suitable for all levels. Bring a mat.
  • Adult Tennis Lessons
    Comprehensive tennis instruction for players of all ability levels. The beginner course offers an introduction to the game and basic stroke patterns. The Intermediate course is designed to drill all strokes. Come dressed to play and bring a racquet. Make-up only for classes rained out prior to start of class. No class Columbus Day weekend.
  • Men's Pick-Up Basketball
    Join Andover Rec on Monday or Tuesday nights this fall for pick-up basketball. Each week teams will be formed from those who are in attendance and games will be played. A reversible Andover Rec pinny is required and will be issued at the first session. Please choose a size when registering. A $10.00 charge will be added if you do not have a pinny from a previous session and need one. Players may only sign up for one session, Monday OR Tuesday.
  • Twice a week Tennis
    This play-action class is for beginners as well as for serious tennis players who want to improve their game. Players will be grouped according to their ability level. Come prepared to learn top spin on serve, forehand, and backhand. Bring a racquet. Make-up only for classes rained out prior to the start of class.
  • 3rd Annual Marty DeFrancisco Memorial Softball Tournament
    Due to a rainy spring, the 3rd annual softball tournament in honor of Marty DeFrancisco has been rescheduled for the fall. Marty was a softball league player and Andover resident who passed away suddenly in April of 2016. This tournament is an all day event that is held in his memory that includes food, music, and fun for players and spectators alike. A special thank you to our wonderful sponsors, including Tewksbury Country Club, Spinners Pizza Parlor, Wamesit Lanes, Boyle’s Fitness Factory, Perry’s Plate, and Optimum Sportswear, as well as many generous donors.
  • Adult Co-Ed Softball League -- Information Page
    Our league has a long tradition in Andover at Rec Park. Stop by to cheer on your favorite team, Monday–Friday evenings from 6-10 pm. The fall league runs through October. Spring league play begins in May.
