  • Teen and Adult Archery
    Ages 12+ Learn the ancient skill of archery through shooting at different types of targets as well as learning how to score and the basic rules of competition while having fun. You may discover a couple of ancient secret keys to archery and shoot at balloons. Archery is a lifetime sport that you can continue as you move on into the world. Your coach Lucy Morris is a certified USA Level 4 NTS Archery coach. Coach Lucy creates a fun learning environment, and instructors provide all the equipment.
  • Adult Fitness Boot Camp
    Join us for an exciting new Summer Boot Camp Series like no other! This program is designed to decrease stress while promoting cardiovascular endurance, better balance and coordination, and overall strength. Sandbag and bucket carries, tire flipping, kettlebells, sledge hammering, speed and agility work, team challenges, and more. Each class will also take you through different stations where you’ll see a variety of full-body, functional movements such push-ups, presses, and squats. All workouts can be modified when necessary. Sessions begin with a warm-up and end with a cool down. Experience an outdoor workout that revitalizes your mind and body and motivates you to your full potential. Bring a friend and make new ones. Plenty of water and a sweat towel is recommended.
  • Adult Tennis Lessons Summer 2019
    Comprehensive tennis instruction for players of all ability levels. Course emphasis will be placed on proper stroke techniques, volleys, and serves. Bring a racquet.
  • Gentle Yoga - Summer 2019
    Yoga promotes flexibility, strength, and relaxation through a series of gentle stretching postures and deep breathing exercises. Class ends with a guided meditation and is suitable for all levels. Now offering twice-a-week sessions. Bring a mat and water.
  • Goat Yoga
    Join us for an outdoor evening yoga class featuring friendly baby goats from Chipin Farm!
  • Nordic Walking Clinic
    Nordic Walking is a type of walking that engages the entire body and can be enjoyed by everyone. Using the body’s natural motion, Nordic Walking incorporates walking poles (similar to ski poles) into your walk. By using poles, you will increase calorie burn by 40%; poles also add balance and stability as well as help reduce strain on joints. First class will teach proper form and demo poles will be available for trial and fit to each participant. Poles will be available for purchase ($65) at the end of the first class.
  • Adult Paddle Boarding
    Learn the ins and outs of Stand Up Paddle Boarding (SUP) at this five week class. SUP instruction and technique will be taught along with SUP fitness and fun. SUP is one of the fastest-growing water activities around the world, so don’t miss out on your chance to learn the basics so you can enjoy this activity on your next trip to the beach, lake, or pond!
  • Round Robin Tennis
    This league is open to all who want to participate in doubles or singles competition matches. Intermediate and higher levels welcome.
  • Pickleball Tournament
    Andover Rec's Annual Pickleball Tournament.
  • 3rd Annual Marty DeFrancisco Memorial Softball Tournament
    Due to a rainy spring, the 3rd annual softball tournament in honor of Marty DeFrancisco has been rescheduled for the fall. Marty was a softball league player and Andover resident who passed away suddenly in April of 2016. This tournament is an all day event that is held in his memory that includes food, music, and fun for players and spectators alike. A special thank you to our wonderful sponsors, including Tewksbury Country Club, Spinners Pizza Parlor, Wamesit Lanes, Boyle’s Fitness Factory, Perry’s Plate, and Optimum Sportswear, as well as many generous donors.

  • Adult Co-Ed Softball League -- Information Page
    Our league has a long tradition in Andover at Rec Park. Stop by to cheer on your favorite team, Monday–Friday evenings from 6-10 pm. The fall league runs through October. Spring league play begins in May.
  • Tennis Lessons
    Saturday or Monday, Wednesday Lessons Offered Comprehensive tennis instruction for players of all ability levels. The beginner course offers an introduction to the game and basic stroke patterns. The intermediate course is designed to drill all strokes. Come dressed to play and bring a racquet. Make-up only for classes rained out prior to the start of class.
