  • Beach Buddies
    (Ages 4-7) Looking for a fun-filled morning or full day at the beach? Does your child enjoy small group activities? If so, Beach Buddies, held at Pomps Pond, is the perfect place to be this summer. Children will enjoy swimming lessons, along with boating, beach activities, arts and crafts, nature walks, and a weekly pancake breakfast. A special event will be scheduled for each Wednesday! Please bring a bathing suit, towel, sunscreen, water bottle, and snack each day. Full day, please also bring a lunch.
  • Stand Up Paddle Board (SUP)
    Join East Coast Style Stand Up Paddle for one of our stand up paddle board programs down at Pomps Pond!
  • SUP Sunset Glow Tour (NEW!)
    Join East Coast Style SUP for a sunset glow paddle tour! You will launch from the shores of Pomps Pond with your board illuminated and be guided on a 90 minute glow adventure! No previous SUP experience required. Guides will run an instruction period before the tour starts. Suggested age is 10 years old and up. If your child is a strong paddler, we can make an exception on a case-by-case basis. If you would like your little ones to join you on your board, just let us know ahead of time. No charge for the child on the parent’s board. Please arrive at 7:45 pm to be fitted for lifejackets/paddles and go over basic instruction before the tour at 8:00 pm.
  • Lifeguard Training
    Ages 15 & Up Become a Professional Lifeguard! Upon successful completion, candidates will receive Lifeguarding, CPR, and First Aid certifications. All candidates must pass pre-course skills check and be 15 years old by the end of the course.
  • WSI - Water Safety Instructor Training
    This course is designed to train Water Safety Instructor (WSI) candidates to teach the American Red Cross Learn to Swim programs, and community water safety outreach programs. This is the new blended learning Water Safety Instructor class that offers both hands-on training and the ability to complete additional content online before and throughout the course.Water Safety Instructor (WSI) candidates must be 16 years of age, and able to demonstrate six proficient strokes: 25-yard front crawl, 25-yard back crawl, 25-yard elementary backstroke, 25-yard sidestroke, 25-yard breaststroke and 10-yard butterfly. Upon successful completion of the Water Safety Instructor (WSI) course, candidates will receive an American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certification valid for 2 years.
  • Swimming Lessons
    Swim classes, beginner through advanced, are offered. Children will be tested the first day of class and grouped according to ability. All swimmers must complete all of the Red Cross requirements before they may advance to the next level. Call the Pond at 978-749-9423 if weather is questionable. Registrations for lessons are not accepted at the pond.
